About company holidays for Spring Festival

Some customers are going to visit our company and check our laminate flooring around February 01th, 2008. Thus we need to let our customers know about the infomation of our company holidays during Chinese Spring Festival: We will be in holiday from February 02th, 2008 to February 11th, 2008. 

Chinese Spring Festival is the most important holiday in China, especially for Han people. People will go home,  drink, have meal and have fun with their family, relatives and friends. So the period is a bit long.

So company visit is not available in this period. But email communication is no problem. We will check e-mail from time to time and communicate with you by e-mail. Mobile call is also ok. As a premium manufacturer in this field, we shall let customers know our info timely and continue keeping in touch with customer even during holiday.

And our workers shall not work during this period. So you need to consider the production time carefully if you are going to place order around this period. Our production period is 16 working days. So the production time is 25 days during this period.

Sample delivery is also not available during this period. We can send you sample beofore or after the holidays.

The bank payment can’t be checked around Chinese Spring Festival because most people of bank shall not work during this period.

The influence of RMB appreciation on our international business

RMB continues to  appreciate a great deal recently. It brings much negative influence on our international business:

1.  For our old big customers, their order quantity is big but the profit margin is very narrow. Some of their orginal prices even can’t cover the cost after the apprecation. And it is very difficult to ask them to increase the prices. And many customers reduce or cancel thier orders and they claimed they can’t accept our current prices after the RMB appreciation.

2. For the current orders which has been placed, we will suffer loss if the RMB appreciate a great deal after order confirmation and before the payment of the rest. But we shall not ask customer to increase price if the delay of delivery is our fault. 

3. For new customers, we just can quote them current prices which expire in a short time. Many new customers discusses with us and then accept the prices.  And they place orders after long time of that.  But RMB appreciates a great deal in this period. They can’t understand why we increase the prices and discuss with them again abou the prices after mutual confirmation and cancel their orders in the end.

We suggest the customer collect more information about RMB appreciation at their own side to understand the situation. Also we ask customer to read our price list carefully: we mark the expiration time of the quotation on it. As a premium laminate flooring manufacture in China, we shall not play any trick to make profit on the issue. And we shall not reduce the quality and reduce the cost due to the appreciation.

We will attend the 10th show of Domotex Asia/China Floor.

Dear customers, the first show which we are going to attend is the 10th show of Domotex Asia/China Floor which will be held in Shanghai during March 11th and march 13th, 2008.  Domotex asia/China Floor is the largest international trade show for flooring coverings in Asia and the second largest show in world. Domotex asia offers a powful and considerate trade platform for related domestic and abroad manufacturers. But most of the manufacturers are from Mainland China.  And many other laminate flooring manufacturers will also attend the fair. The related global buyers, trades and agents will attend the show to soure products. 

Domotex asia/China Floor is made up of 4 major portions: 1. Laminate & wood flooring; 2. Textile floor coverings and carpets ; 3. Resilent flooring; 4. Floortech Asia.  Floortech Asia displays flooring machinery and tools. Some accessories  and underlayment manufacturers will also attend the fair.  You can check other products which may be of interest for your market the same time.

Our booth are is about 100sqm. The booth design is very beautiful and attractive! The booth number will be displayed later. We will present various kinds of our products during the show especially the square shap, V groove and hand scraped products. Some customers have appointed us to have a meeting at the show.

The address of the show is Shanghai New International Expo Centre, No. 2345 Longyang Road, Shanghai City, China. You can land in Shanghai international airport directly to attend it. And we can help customer to book hotel in Shanghai. Welcome to visit our factory after the show! It take only about 2 hours to come to our factory by car from Shanghai.

Several customers will visit our factory soon.

Now the holidays for Christmas and New Year are over. Customers start to work now.  Some customers plan to visit China suppliers in this field.  And several customers are going to visit our factory. Because they find we are a premium laminate flooring manufacture in China after they heard their friends’ recommendation about us, checked our website or received our samples. And we usually do the following work to welcome customer’s visit.

We will help customer to book hotel if customer ask us of that. We are familiar with the hotels in Changzhou City. And we can offer customer discount for booking room because we have good relationship with the hotles. Sometime,  a customer required the hotel should be of 5-star grade and neighbouring to  a resturant which is special for Islam food. We met his request well. : )

Some customers land in Shanghai and don’t know how to go to Changzhou Ciy.  For old customer, we pick customer from Shanghai. For new customer, we help customer to find a taxi with the customer’s mobile or the phone of the hotel reception to go to our factory. The taxi fee is about USD120.00. Surely we also pick new customer up from Shanghai if the new customer can’t go to our factory even with our phone help.  We can pick customer up if customer has reached Changzhou City whatever old customer or new customer.

Normally we prepare cutting samples and color catalogue because many customers like various kinds of colors for them to choose and taking some small samples back.  

We can help customer with all respects during customer’s stay in Changzhou City. We are familiar with the traffic and hospitals here. Last time a custmer was sick during his stay in Changzhou. He doesn’t know to find the right doctor.  And Enghlish is not popular for the doctors in Changzhou. Just a call from him! We went and helped him to see the right doctor and cure his sickness.

The advantages of 8mm laminate flooring

8mm is the most popular thickness. There are several reasons for this:

A. 8mm plank is much cheaper than that of 12mm.  It is about USD1.00/sqm  difference between them. Though it is a bit more curving than 12mm plank, the locking sytem of it still work well. But the price difference among 6mm, 7mm and 8mm is very little.

B. There are many possible quality problem with 6mm and 7mm planks:  1. The planks are so curving that they can’t be locked well. 2. The planks are too thin to hold the locking system at the edge. 3. The locking system on the planks is too weak to connect together firmly.

C. There is no big noise with 8mm plank when people step on it.

D. 8mm thickness can work with 297mm width. But for 6mm and 7mm,the plank is easy to be curve in the across side.

E. 1*20ft container can hold about 2630sqm of 8mm plank(pallets are included in container). For 12mm plank, the packing  quantity is about 1830sqm. So 1*20ft container can more 8mm plank. And 8mm products reduce the shipping cost a great deal.

The features of 12mm laminate flooring

12mm plank is very popular in the gloabal market now. It has the following fetures:

A. The thickness is especially suitable for the following finishes for the purpose of hardwood imitation: pressed or painted V groove(807*126*12mm, 807*90*12mm, 1212*126*12mm), mould pressed finish(807*126*12mm, 807*143*12mm, 807*163*12mm), square shape(600*600*12mm, 500*500*12mm), UV-shine(1214*143*12.3mm, 1214*163*12.3mm, 1214*193*12mm) and hand scraped surface(807*126*12mm, 807*143*12.3mm).

B. 12mm plank is not easy to be curving due its thickness. So customers will not require thicker planks such as 14mm to avoid higher prices.

C. The 12mm thickness can reduce much noise and it is more press resistant due to its thickness.

D. Its shape is like hardwood plank but the prices are much cheaper than that of hardwood. The price difference is often 3 times or even more. What’s more it is much more wear resistant and easy to install and care.
